Updates

• Conference & Workshop Planning
  • There are two institutions interested in hosting future Music Encoding Conferences in 2027 and 2028
  • Potential host for 2027 will confirm by mid-March 2026 whether it is feasible for them to host
  • We have a interested host for the 2026 Developers’ Workshop and are waiting for confirmation
• Community Comments on By-law revisions
  • The period for community comments about the By-law revisions ended on February 9th, but we will accept comments through February 13th before sending out the ballot on February 16th
  • The voting period will run from February 16-March 6, 2026
• In-memoriam for Eleanor Selfridge-Field
  • The MEI Board will publish an in-memoriam in honor of Eleanor’s life and her contributions to the MEI community
