Updates

• General updates from Board
  • Bringing on second sponsor for MEI; details will be shared once approved by the Akademie in Mainz
  • Conference Host MOU template has been published on the MEI website and is linked from the Hosting Guidelines page

Discussion

• Institutional membership sponsor levels (David W., Anna K.)
  • Specific benefits were identified per sponsor level, as well as placement of logos on MEI publications
  • Final version has been created and will be shared with the Board for final review
  • By-law text in section 3.1.2 has been drafted to reflect updated language and will be shared with the Board for final review
  • Once approved, final versions will be published on the MEI website and shared on MEI-list
• MEC proceedings (Anna P.)
  • Currently using Knowledge Commons to publish MEC Proceedings, but finding that the UI is cumbersome to use
  • Would like to investigate if Zenodo might be a better platform. It offers publication metrics and content, supports FAIR principles, and is used by many MEI partners
  • Next steps: Anna P, David Lewis (MEC 2026 Program Committee Chair), and Anna K will meet for further discussion and will follow up with the MEI Board

Calendering

• Next Board meeting will be on December 19, 2025, 11 AM (EDT) / 5 PM (CET)
• MEI Community Forum was postponed until January 2026 (date tbd)
